Brisbane is located in the southern part of the Sunshine State of Queensland and is an ideal base for exploring some of the most fascinating places in Australia.
The town itself deserves a few days break with a selection of restaurants, shops and other attractions that draw visitors to one of the largest cities in Australia. Brisbane River flows through the city and along the river are both parks and restaurants. In the pleasant climate, it is natural to enjoy lunch and dinner outside.
Although the city itself has much to offer, you should still have time for any of the sights and attractions that are located in areas around the city; the beautiful beaches, the countless number of islands off the coast and the exciting rainforest in the area.
From Brisbane, it is not far to the known areas of the Gold Coast south of or to the Sunshine Coast and Fraser Island which lies north of the city.
